Apple TV‘s The Morning Show‘s second season ended on quite the cliffhanger, but fans won’t have to wait much longer for their questions to be answered as the third season of the show is coming to the Apple TV Plus this fall. The trailer, which Apple TV just unveiled today, gives viewers some insight regarding what to expect in the chaotic coming season.
“You know, we were supposed to change things, weren’t we?” Reese Witherspoon‘s Bradley Jackson opens, as she and Jennifer Aniston‘s Alex Levy look out at the skyline. “I wanted to make a difference,” Jackson reflects.
The trailer cuts to shots of familiar faces Cory Ellison, played by Billy Crudup, and Stella Bak, played by Greta Lee, who each share their respective intentions on the status of the newsroom. “I want to build something that matters” Ellison states, while Bak believes “it’s all just smoke and mirrors.” The show’s third season also introduces new character played by John Hamm, who makes an appearance nearly halfway through the minute-long trailer.
“Honestly, let all the secrets come out,” Levy exclaims, “[because] they did not protect me.” Jackson’s quippy reply? “They didn’t. But I did.” The trailer comes to a close with an ominous statement by Levy: “I hope it was all worth it… ”
The first two episodes of The Morning Show season 3 will hit Apple TV+ on September 13; the show will then follow a weekly release schedule – with new episodes dropping every Wednesday – for the rest of the season.
In other entertainment news, A24 has set a release date for The Iron Claw.
