Offset confirmed that new music is set to drop this week in his latest promotional video that stars Jamie Lee Curtis.
The short clip sees the rapper reenacting James Brown‘s unforgettable 1988 Sonya Live interview, when many presumed that Brown was not sober due to his erratic responses to host Sonya Friedman. Offset channels that same energy in the promo video as Curtis asks him about the “drama” with his wife, Cardi B, and, just like Brown, he actively avoids the questions with his strange behavior and changes the topic to new music. The video ends with the announcement of new music dropping on July 28, but did not reveal additional info like a title.
Offset and Curtis’ skit could be referring to an incident in June wherein the rapper accused Cardi B of cheating on him in a now-deleted Instagram Story. She denied Offset’s claim at the time, and it seems as though the two have moved past it as she supported her husband’s video on Instagram.
