Twitter has officially begun its rebranding process to “X.”
Elon Musk announced the news on the social media platform in the late hours of the evening, with his first tweet reading, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” and his second tweet reading, “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make [it] go live worldwide tomorrow.” He also joined a Twitter Spaces conversation but did reveal much more, except for the fact that Twitter’s logo will be changed the next day.
As of writing and in accordance to another tweet of Musk’s, x.com now directs to Twitter.
The Verge also adds that Musk supposedly sent a company wide email to confirm the rebranding. He noted that the email will be the last one he will send out from a Twitter address.
Stay tuned for more news.
