Taylor Swift Is the First Woman To Have Four Top 10 Albums at the Same Time

Taylor Swift has been making headlines and shattering records since the start of her “The Eras Tour.” While the her career-spanning event has seen special guests, surprise performances and a recent projection that “Eras” will be the first billion-dollar grossing tour in history, the singer is still continuing her run of re-releases, with Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) hitting streaming earlier this month. The nostalgic re-release of her 2010 album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, joining new releases Midnights (2022), Lover (2019) and Folklore (2020).

Not only is Swift the first woman in history to have four albums in Billboard’s Top 10 at the same time, but this achievement also makes Swift the first female ever to earn 12 chart-topping albums. Prior to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)‘s release, Swift was tied with Barbra Streisand for the record of 11 chart-topping albums. Midnights currently holds the number five spot, with Lover at number seven, and Folklore rounding out the list at number 10.

The only other living artist to achieve this accomplishment was trumpet player Herb Alpert in 1966 when his Going Places, Whipped Cream & Other Delights, South of the Border, and The Lonely Bull albums all dominated the top 10. Posthumously, Prince landed five albums in the top 10 back in 2016 – The Very Best of Prince, the Purple Rain soundtrack, The Hits/The B-Sides, Ultimate and 1999.
