Rough Crafts Introduces Custom Ducati Monster 821 “Bologna Dogfight”

Rough Crafts Introduces Custom Ducati Monster 821 "Bologna Dogfight"

Rough Crafts founder and lead designer Winston Yeh recently unveiled the workshop’s latest custom machine, a murdered-out Ducati Monster 821 nicknamed the “Bologna Dogfight.”

The design for this particular café racer draws from elements found in several of Yeh’s other builds, including a previous Ducati Monster and his now iconic BMW R nineT build.

“I wanted it to have those classic café racer lines,” Yeh shared in an interview on the bike, adding “A bit rounded and elegant—but still very recognizably Rough Crafts.”

Crafted as a one of one for a client, the custom 821 features a scalloped aluminum fuel tank with handmade Rough Craft badges, SC-Project retro megaphone mufflers, a CNC milled subframe, and an elegant two-piece leather seat sitting atop a 3D-printed tail cowl.

Other standout features on the sleek blacked-out bike include its 17” carbon fiber wheels from BST sitting on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires.

As with most of its builds, the Taiwan-based workshop leaned on its expansive network of experts, with the “Bologna Dogfight” enlisting participation from names like Rover Works Custom Paint, Chirui Leather Custom, Artitek Ltd, Simon Fiber Craft and more.
