PARTYNEXTDOOR Is Back With New Single “Resentment”

PARTYNEXTDOOR Is Back With New Single "Resentment"

As his last LP, PARTYMOBILE, turns three years old, PARTYNEXTDOOR is gearing up to make a grand return. Following the release of “Her Old Friends” in January, the OVO artist has returned with an all-new single, dubbed “Resentment,” off his forthcoming record, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4.

PARTY has mastered his craft of curating the perfect seductive vibe: breathy, layered vocals over atmospheric production. He slides onto the self-produced beat effortlessly, opening with his signature smooth vocal runs. “Still runnin’ from all of your problems / Shawty turned to the runnin’ man / Soon as she faces drama,” he opens, with repetitions of specific words that layer atop one another harmoniously. He croons on the chorus, “Respect’s what I need, but don’t get / All that I do is resent you now, woah, woah.”

Following PARTYMOBILE‘s release, PND collaborated with a handful of artists, lending features to Diddy’s “Sex In The Porsche”, OG Parker’s “No Rush” and Preme’s “Make a Mall” over the last several years. In May, Drake popped out at PARTY’s Toronto show to confirm that the artist’s next album was on the way. “I’m going on tour, but PARTY’s dropping PND4,” said Drizzy, before the duo delivered a performance of “Come And See Me” from PND3.

“Resentment” is available now to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Check out the visualizer above.

Elsewhere in music, check out new posthumous Coolio single, “A Star Is Born.”
