When it comes to the Star Wars franchise, you can trust that there’s always something new around the corner. In 2020, a key part of the beloved universe’s roadmap for content notably included an Ahsoka series that fans have been anxiously awaiting ever since. Now, following its teaser trailer that appeared in April, a new cut has been shared — featuring information regarding the show’s premiere.
Centering around Ahsoka Tano — played by Rosario Dawson — the show takes place after the fall of the Empire and leans heavily on the ending of the animated series Star Wars Rebels. Again, we see Ahsoka joined by Sabine Wren with Ezra Bridger’s lightsaber, Grand Admiral Tharwn, Hera Syndulla, Chopper (C1-10P), Mon Mothma and more in this anticipation-building preview.
At the end of the trailer cut, it is stated that Ahsoka is slated to arrive on Disney+ starting August 23 with a total of eight episodes released across a weekly schedule. For those looking to catch up on everything Ahsoka Tano, there’s still plenty of time to review her appearances in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and other media she is featured in.
