Moment country music star Zach Bryan kicks woman out of his concert after she tried to grab his guitar during encore
Country music star Zach Bryan evicted a woman from his concert in Albany after she grabbed his $3,000 Gibson J-45 guitar when he was walking past.
Oklahoma-born Bryan, 27, was performing in New York’s capital on May 26, at the MVP Arena.
He was caught on camera walking through the crowd towards the stage, when an arm reached out across the barrier and grabbed his guitar.
Bryan, who is in the midst of a 36-date tour across the United States and Canada, immediately asked security to remove the woman.
‘I’ll say Albany, I never expected that to be the most fun show of my whole life,’ he tweeted immediately after the show.
‘Thank you so damn much.
‘The kindness I’ve found on the road is a kindness I’ll never find again. I love you guys.’
Four days later, when video of the incident emerged, Bryan explained what happened.
‘I don’t mind people being respectful and trying to touch me or the guitar, but if you try to rip it out of my hands I promise I’ll rip you out of whatever venue we’re at, respectfully, of course,’ he said.
Bryan said he regularly handed out Gibson J-45 guitars, but the one he was carrying at the time in Albany was treasured.
He also said he bore the evicted woman no ill will.
‘I give J-45’s out at a lot of concerts,’ he said.
‘The one in my hands when this happened was mine, my sweet ol’ gal, we’ve been everywhere together and written every song in the last few years together.
‘Took it personal, but nothing against whoever wound up getting kicked out.’
