Mac DeMarco Announces Intimate Shows in Support of Instrumental LP ‘Five Easy Hot Dogs’

At the beginning of the year, Mac DeMarco shared his instrumental LP, Five Easy Hot Dogs. The project was created during the singer’s road trip throughout the U.S. and Canada. Spanning 14 songs, each track is named after the city in which it was recorded.

“The plan was to start driving north, and not go home to Los Angeles until I was done with a record,” DeMarco said of the LP back in January “Kind of like being on tour, except there weren’t any shows, and I’d just be burning money.”

A few months after dropping Five Easy Hot Dogs via his own record label, DeMarco has now shared plans to tour the album in a series of intimate shows.

The artist has announced upcoming concerts in New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris. The run will commence with a single show at Los Angeles’ Ford Theatre on July 14, following which, he’ll perform three shows night-to-night at Webster Hall in New York.

He’ll also have three concerts at Paris’ Cabaret Sauvage and three concerts at London’s Hackney Empire.

Tickets for the New York, Paris and London shows will go on sale first, beginning on April 21 at 10 a.m. local time. For the Los Angeles show, ticket sales will open at the same time on May 9.

In other music news, Kid Cudi teased a “new chapter” in June 2023.
