After releasing his four-song EP Just For Clarity 2 in March, Blxst has officially returned with an all-new music video for the project’s Roddy Ricch-assisted track, “Passionate.”
Directed by Mayowa and Blu, the visual sees Blxst rap poolside with a love interest, perform for live audiences, flex state-of-the-art sports cars and flash iced-out necklaces. Later, Ricch appears in a slew of colorful sweaters, delivering his bars from a mansion high up in the Hills.
“I put on for the city, I put on for the map, tell them n**gas, ‘Tap in,’ we on the phone, it’s a wrap,” Blxst raps. “If we ain’t gon’ get it bustin’, we ain’t flash on nothin’, if you’re tryna stand on it, gotta put that on somethin’/ I’ve been too passionate but when I ride the ‘Rari, I ain’t ever gon’ fasten s**t.”
Just For Clarity 2 arrived last month as a sequel to Blxst’s 2021 EP, which featured songs with Russ and the late Drakeo the Ruler. On this latest effort, Blxst enlisted three collaborators: Mustard features on “Ghetto Cinderella;” Larry June shows up on “Keep Calling,” and, as mentioned, Ricch appears on “Passionate.” The fourth song is a solo effort from Blxst, titled “Call My Bluff.”
