Every street’s a catwalk for Victoria Beckham, and she’s not about to let standards drop while lounging around a swimming pool, either. The fashion designer took to Instagram on 30 March to post a couple of photos wearing an extreme plunging gown from her own collection. “Just lounging round the pool in this casual little number! ❤️💙,” she captioned the photos, proving she understands the absurdity of her holiday ‘fit.
While it would be easy to assume Victoria, who is known for her glamorous attire, genuinely chose a red carpet-worthy look for a poolside self-care day, she actually revealed on her Instagram stories that she was on set, shooting something for her beauty line. For the occasion, she opted to wear the ultra plunging, backless design, seen on the spring summer 23 runway. The £1,250 gown is a dress of two halves, clashing sky blue at the frilled front, with a tomato red skirt and train at the back. She teamed the look with matching red peep-toe boots, long wavy hair, and smoky eye makeup courtesy of her own range. The Posh pool party also included a little day drinking as a bottle of tequila could be spotted close by. Well, when on holiday . . .
And i’s all about balance, after all. Only a few days earlier, Victoria was in the gym with husband, David, working out, so turning work into play surely made for a fun day. The former Spice Girl has had a busy fe months, having recently showed her autumn / winter collection at Paris Fashion Week, surrounded by the support of her family, and was spotted sharing a sweet PDA while out and about in the French capital with David. The couple certainly seem super loved-up of late, having shared sweet throwback snaps to their early dates on Valentine’s Day and sharing special anniversary trips.
While Victoria’s latest poolside look is a far cry from our ill-fitting swimwear and loose cover-ups, we’d expect nothing less of the fashion icon. Perhaps we’ll see heels on the beach next?
