UK rapper Little Simz has just released a new documentary titled On Stage Off Stage and it follows the musician on the European leg of her Sometimes I Might Be Introvert tour.
Simz’s critically-acclaimed album — which picked up serval awards including 2022’s Mercury Prize — dropped back in 2021. The project came with months of anticipation and lead with tracks such as the vibrant “Introvert,” soul-rap gem “Woman” with Cleo Sol, and the delicate love letter, “I Love You, I Hate You.” And while the record also gave Simz a Best New Artist award at the 2022 BRIT Awards, the LP was actually Simz’s fourth studio album.
Since, Little Simz also dropped a surprise album in the form of NO THANK YOU during the back end of last year, a record that was smaller in scale in comparison to Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. However, the album was exclusively produced by Inflo and still incorporated similar sonics, such as live orchestra elements and a full choir for added substance.
With this in mind, the new On Stage Off Stage documentary from Little Simz captures her touring Europe, while we also get an inside look at what went down both on and off the stage during that time. Extracurricular activities from Simz saw her playing tennis and arriving at photoshoots, while viewers also meet several members of Simbi’s tour team who each detail what their role entails.
