Following the release of the official trailer for Tom Cruise‘s upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Paramount has now released the first poster for the highly anticipated film.
The film poster gives fans a glimpse of the action to come, seeing Ethan Hunt soar to new heights as the image depicts him flying into the sky off of his motorcycle. It is no surprise that the upcoming film will once again question how Ethan, played by Cruise, will cheat death once again. Cruise, who is always known to perform his own stunts, whether it is free climbing, hanging off of a plane, or in this case, soaring through the sky, continues to show commitment to his role in the latest Mission film. The current poster teases Cruise freefalling through a mountainous landscape, signaling a change of natural scenery for the sequel.
This most recent project s directed by Christopher McQuarrie and promises to be one of Cruise’s most dangerous films, featuring some of the most daring stunts. In a featurette released by Paramount, the production crew described a scene where Cruise drives himself off a cliff in a motorbike, to be “the biggest stunt in cinema history.” Cruise can be heard saying, “This is far and away the most dangerous thing we have ever attempted.” He stated that this particular stunt where he has exactly six seconds to open his parachute before he dies, has been planned for years. Starring alongside Cruise are Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff and Henry Czerny.
