In September 2022, Vusi Nova released an EP titled, ‘Ndikhethiwe (I Was Chosen)’, which was a very personal album with
songs that touch on complex life topics: on ‘Ndincede’ he addresses his alcohol addiction putting himself at God’s mercy
praying for deliverance from alcoholism,; on ‘Makhelwane’ he addresses jealous neighbours and how those around you
can destroy you.
The last song on the EP is a beautiful and heartfelt cover of Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’. The EP was well
received by Vusi Nova’s fans and got raving reviews from the media community.
“It’s an eight-track EP Deluxe – I wanted to go back to what people know me for; love songs. Be it a breakup song or a madly in love song because that is what I’m known for,” he said.
