Creed III surpassing expectations domestically and internationally since its release. For its debut box office weekend, the third film in the trilogy has already crossed the $100 million USD global box office mark.
Michael B. Jordan‘s directorial debut has now collected $58.7 million USD in North American and $41.8 million USD overseas to make the third installment the biggest world opening of the trilogy. Subsequently, the film is also the most expensive of the Creed universe, costing $75 million USD while the first and second films cost $35 million and $50 million USD, respectively.
Creed III has also received rave reviews with many praising Jordan on his masterful directorial debut. Compared to the previous Creed films, the third film saw overseas tickets selling 109% more than the others. Jordan stars as Adonis Creed, son of boxing legend Apollo Creed. His childhood friend and forming boxing prodigy, played by Jonathan Majors, surfaces after time in prison, to fight him for the boxing title. The early success has set up the third film as one of the season’s most sought-after movies. Creed III is currently out in theaters around the globe.
