Travis Scott’s ‘UTOPIA’ Reportedly Dropping in June 2023

Travis Scott's 'UTOPIA' Reportedly Dropping in June 2023

Travis Scott‘s highly-anticipated new album UTOPIA is supposedly scheduled to drop this summer.

Epic Records chairperson Sylvia Rhone — also the first Black executive and woman to hold the titles of both chairman and CEO of a major label and Billboard’s Women in Music Executive of the Year — revealed the news in a recent story with Billboard where she was asked what the industry can expect from Epic in 2023. “We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” she answered.

She also gave some other notable artists their flowers, and opened up about their newest signings outside of the United States. “Last year, Future delivered the biggest album of his 10-year career at the company. How many hip-hop artists can do that and still be relevant? And 21 Savage is probably the hottest hip-hop artist on the street right now. He’s got music out with Metro [Boomin] and with Drake. BIA and Giveon are in the second stage of development right now,” Rhone explained. “And then we have new artists from all over. We signed Tyla from South Africa. We’re breaking a young lady from London named Mimi Webb. We took the time during COVID-19 to really develop new artists, so we have in the chamber a lot of great new talent, and you’ll see them become household names in this next year.”

UTOPIA will mark Scott’s first studio album since 2018’s ASTROWORLD, which is critically and commercially considered as one of the greatest hip-hop album of that year and the decade. The rapper also previously confirmed that UTOPIA will drop after the release of the albums of his Cactus Jack signees.

Elsewhere in music, Lil Wayne x DMX and The Weeknd x Ariana Grande lead the week’s Best New Tracks.
