Every fashion fan knows that following the red carpet comes the afterparty and the outfits keep on coming. While the 2023 BAFTAs red carpet was awash with dramatic gowns (we’re looking at you, Florence Pugh), sparkling makeup (hello, Jodie Turner-Smith), and plunging necklines (courtesy of Lily James), the afterparties offer a chance for celebrities to let loose and swap ballgowns for outfits they can bust a move in. And this year’s fashion parade did not disappoint.
“Bridgerton“‘s Simone Ashley looked effortlessly cool in her sparkling outfit. Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, her Alexandre Vauthier look was giving Studio 54 disco vibes in an ultra modern way. The actor attended the British Vogue and Tiffany & Co. Fashion And Film Party at the exclusive Annabel’s club in London, before hot-footing it to Chiltern Firehouse for the Netflix party, and she certainly brought the glamour. Crystal strands covered her top half in a waistcoat shape to expose her torso, while the risqué top was teamed with high-waisted black balloon bottoms. She carried a Marina Raphael crystal box bag and Alessandra Rich drop earrings.
Hairstylist Peter Lux blowdried her hair straight with a middle parting, while makeup artist Nikki Wolff added an indie sleaze edge in the form of sultry smokey eyes, defined eyeliner, and a touch of green shimmer. There’s no denying who was diamond of the season at the BAFTA afterparties!
