Official launch to feature collaboration with local Milwaukee brand Unfinished Legacy to take place on February 24 in the Bucks Pro Shop
The Milwaukee Bucks are entering the lifestyle fashion space with the official launch of their Bucks In Six private apparel label on Friday, February 24. The Bucks In Six brand, available exclusively through the Bucks Pro Shop, will differentiate the team’s merchandise line by offering new fashion-forward items, exclusive t-shirts celebrating the biggest Bucks moments and, as the cornerstone of the apparel line, limited edition collaborations with local, national and international apparel brands.
The Bucks In Six name comes from former Bucks player Brandon Jennings’ now famous line delivered in 2012 and encapsulated in Bucks history when the team won both the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals in six games en route to the organization’s first NBA title in 50 years. The first Bucks In Six branded apparel arrived at the Bucks Pro Shop and shop.bucks.com in January featuring a collection of bold print hoodies, t-shirts and the first in the Bucks In Six series of “Photo Reel” shirts highlighting timeless images of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis.
“Lifestyle fashion has become synonymous with NBA culture, and Bucks In Six is an opportunity for the Bucks to provide our fans across the globe an opportunity to be a part of this culture while also representing the team they love,” said Bucks Chief Marketing Officer Dustin Godsey. “We’re excited about the opportunity to create something new that is unexpected from a team and unique to Milwaukee.”
The official launch on February 24 features the brand’s first collaboration, a partnership with Milwaukee-born streetwear brand Unfinished Legacy. Created by 26-year-old artist Brema Brema, whose Sudanese family fled a Kenyan refugee camp when he was five years old and settled in Milwaukee in 2010, Unfinished Legacy is a creative brand that recognizes fashion is grounded in the streets and embodies the culture of community in Milwaukee and beyond. Unfinished Legacy communicates its values of quality, pride, timelessness, passion, and community through each garment. “Milwaukee has shaped and influenced the trajectory of my creative career,” Brema Brema said. “This collaboration represents the history of the Milwaukee Bucks and the bright future ahead for both Bucks In Six and Unfinished Legacy.”
The limited edition Bucks In Six x Unfinished Legacy collection will be available exclusively at the Bucks Pro Shop’s physical location at Fiserv Forum starting at 11 am on February 24, with a launch event featuring an appearance by the Unfinished Legacy team and local musicians performing live in store.
“We’ve been thrilled with the reception to the initial soft-launch of our Bucks In Six items and are incredibly fortunate to officially launch the brand with Brema and Unfinished Legacy,” Bucks Senior Vice President Michael Belot said. “This the first of many collaborations that will help bring the brand to life.”
Future collaborations, featuring LA-based Bristol Studios, whose apparel has been worn by Khris Middleton throughout the season, and Brandon Jennings’ own Tuff Crowd brand will be released before the end of the 2022-23 regular season.
Additional information about Bucks In Six will be made available through the Bucks and Bucks Pro Shop social media channels, as well as the Bucks-owned In Six Instagram channel.
