Meek Mill Drops “Don’t Follow the Heathens Freestyle”

Meek Mill Drops “Don’t Follow the Heathens Freestyle”

Late last year, Meek Mill shared his plans to drop 10 independent mixtapes beginning in September. The only tape fans have gotten from the rapper since then is November’s FLAMERZ 5.

This year, he followed that up with a new plan: to drop an album every quarter of 2023. Mill hasn’t elaborated on what that first album will look like or when fans can expect to hear that but he has returned with a new song.

“Don’t Follow The Heathens” is a hard-hitting freestyle that sees Mill drop bars from the studio in a single take. The raw quality of the clip marks a return to the rapper’s roots, where he, like many rappers, had to prove his chops via freestyling.

“I stayed down for all them nights and hustled hard / Because I knew any moment I could go blow up,” he raps. “Know the prices gotta go up / California nights, and motorcades when I roll up.”

In other music news, PinkPantheress tapped Ice Spice for the “Boys a Liar Pt. 2” remix.
