The Street Style at Copenhagen Fashion Week Offers a Masterclass in Winter Dressing

Copenhagen Fashion Week has made a name for itself as being — whisper it — the coolest of fashion weeks. Not only are Scandi fashion brands continuing to pave the way for sustainable style, but the likes of Ganni, Stine Goya, and Rotate are taking their AW23 designs to the runway from 20 Jan.-3 Feb. with an array of lust-worthy looks that will no doubt be on our winter moodboards.

Yet one of the best parts of Copenhagen fashion week is undoubtedly the street style. As attendees arrive in their droves in the Danish capital, the phrase “every street’s a catwalk” could not be truer. The temperatures might be freezing, but the fashion crowd have not let the baltic weather deter them from showcasing the most fashion-forward looks. It’s easy to put style aside in winter in favour of worn thermals and comfy leggings, but the looks on display in Copenhagen has given us a new lease of fashion life.

Textured coats, denim on denim, and dopamine dressing lit up the pavements as the Copenhagen fashion week guests set about proving that winter makes for a seriously stylish season. Leather layers were a popular choice and tailoring was given a modern spin thanks to oversized silhouettes. Plus, bonnets and balaclavas were the accessory of choice so get ahead of this micro trend now as its set to big news come the end of the year. Scroll ahead for some of the best street style looks at Copenhagen Fashion Week, and start planning your winter wardrobe now.
