This winter, New Balance launches its latest campaign titled “Runlock” encouraging runners to face the cold weather and “run to unlock” rewards.
From the Fresh Foam and FuelCell sneaker technologies to innovative apparel, the sportswear brand has a heritage deep-rooted within the running community. It’s a well-known fact that during the winter months runners tend to drop off their game and it’s exactly at this time of year when the benefits of running are needed the most.
To reignite their motivation, New Balance is challenging avid runners of all abilities to run 30 km in 30 days, building a routine that it hopes will foster a lifelong habit as well as help athletes reach their goals for the new year and beyond.
With benefits that include boosting confidence and relieving stress, studies show that keeping active has a positive impact on both physical and mental well-being. And with running being the most accessible sport there is, New Balance’s forthcoming “Runlock” campaign aims to convey the message of wellness and getting the all-important “me” time throughout the colder months.
The campaign itself features three runners, in varying locations, on a mission to reach a mysterious New Balance branded locker, representing the rewards that running unlocks. From city runs to forest trails and waterfront tracks, the visuals show the level of versatility of the sport.
