Following Taeyang and Daesung announcing their departure from YG Entertainment, G-Dragon has announced his plans for a comeback with new music. Participating in the release of BIG BANG‘s “Still Life” comeback single last year, the K-pop superstar has remained largely quiet in the music world with his future at YG Entertainment also up in the air.
But to kick off 2023, G-Dragon delivered a surprise video to his fans, titled “GUERILLA DESK: G_Division.” In the intimate address, the 34-year-old artist shared that his planning to release an album later this year and shared that he wanted to interact with his supporters more in 2023.
“In 2022, I took some time to work on myself, working out more and reenergizing…I haven’t had much chance to speak with you all other than social media. I want to take this opportunity to share that I will work hard in 2023.” G-Dragon continued, “I’ll be returning with different kinds of activities in the new year. I’m working on a new album. I’ll be back in the new year with good news.”
G-Dragon’s last solo effort came back in 2013 with his five-track second studio album, Coup d’Etat.
