Bad Bunny has reunited with Ñengo Flow for a new track, titled “Gato de Noche.” The cut, which is produced by Foreign Teck and Smash David, arrives with an accompanying holiday-themed music video. “This is to close the year,” Bunny said on TikTok mere hours before surprise-dropping the collab.
“He loves you and gives you everything/ But you’re the devil and you’re crazy for me/ You like the bad boys and are playing fire with me […] although you’re a sin, I’m going to hell following that big a–/ I’m on my way/ Today I’m picking you up after midnight,” Bunny sings on the reggaeton track.
Bunny took to his Instagram Stories to reveal the team-up, writing, “With the real beast.” The two joined forces in 2020 for their collaborative single “Safaera,” off the former vocalist’s YHLQMDLG. Prior to their individual collaboration, the duo featured on Maluma‘s 2016 track, “Un Polvo.”
Bad Bunny put out his latest record, Un Verano Sin Ti, earlier this year. The project, which was named Spotify‘s most-streamed album around the world this year, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in May. Notably, Un Verano Sin Ti is the second all-Spanish-language album to chart No. 1, with the first being its 2020 predecessor El Último Tour del Mundo. The album has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where Bad Bunny is also up for Best Pop Solo Performance (“Moscow Mule”) and Best Música Urbana Album.
