Following a “Defy the Noise” campaign earlier this year featuring leading soccer players currently participating in the Qatar World Cup, Beats by Dre now presents a collaboration with Japanese imprint WACKO MARIA. Reflecting the brand’s signature vibrant patterns found across its signature Hawaiian shirts and outwear, the special-edition WACKO MARIA x Beats Flex headphones are found in leopard print with a dual-toned cable.
Designed for all-day activity, the Beats Flex earbuds feature USB-C charging, 12-hour battery life, magnetic auto-play earbuds, a built-in microphone, integrated controls on the neckband, and Apple’s W1 Chip for speedy pairing and Audio Sharing. To celebrate the launch, Japanese hip-hop trio Namedaruma has released a jazzy track titled “BLUE IN BEATS” featuring the new Bluetooth earbuds.
Running under the slogan, “MUSIC IS THE TRIGGER OF IMAGINATIONS,” WACKO MARIA has featured its music influences heavily throughout its past releases including commemorative capsules for Chet Baker and Bob Dylan.
The limited-edition WACKO MARIA x Beats Flex Leopard earphones will be available for $70 USD via WACKO MARIA, INVINCIBLE Shanghai, SOULGOODS Beijing, and select retailers beginning December 2.
