Machine Gun Kelly Delivers Title Track From Semi-Autobiographical Film ‘Taurus’

Machine Gun Kelly has dropped off a new track, titled “Taurus,” featuring Naomi Wild. The single, which arrives with a music video, is the feature song from the major motion picture Taurus, in which Kelly stars under his real name, Colson Baker.

In the semi-autobiographical film named after Baker’s astrological birth sign, the musician-turned-actor depicts an emerging, troubled musician desperately attempting to record a hit song, while struggling to deal with the mounting pressures of fame and addiction. Along with Baker, the film stars Maddie Hasson, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory, Ruby Rose, Scoot McNairy, Lil Tjay and Wild.

“Fighting with myself so I can’t help that I’m competitive/This movie is my life but I still remain uncredited,” he raps on the track. “I don’t care how big I get, I still remain unedited/I built this from the ground up, y’all just living it.”

Alongside this year’s acting stints, which also included a starring role in Good Mourning, Kelly is making major moves on the music front. On Sunday, the singer won Favorite Rock Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards. And last week, he received his first-ever Grammy Award nomination for Mainstream Sellout, which is up for Best Rock Album.
