Debuting during Monday Night Football, the final Avatar: The Way of Water trailer gives audiences a last full glimpse of what to expect for the upcoming Avatar sequel. Given the global success of the first film, the upcoming installment has big shoes to fill, with many anticipating a major box office opening.
The final trailer for Avatar 2 teases fans of the complex layers of the family-oriented plot. The clip transports fans into the world of James Cameron, who has evidently taken the film to new heights. The trailer sees the majestic world of Pandora reach new heights, indicating the film will see a series of action-packed adventures that tell the story of the Sully family, Jake, Neytiri and their kids, as they navigate the troubles that follow them. The family fight to save their community and battle to stay alive as they go through emotional and physical tragedies.
The film features a stacked cast, starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet. James Cameron directed, produced and created the screenplay for the film. In a recent interview earlier this month, Cameron said of the upcoming sequel, “The goal is to tell an extremely compelling story on an emotional basis. I would say the emphasis in the new film is more on character, more on story, more on relationships, more on emotion. We didn’t spend as much time on relationship and emotion in the first film as we do in the second film, and it’s a longer film, because there’s more characters to service. There’s more story to service.”
