Quentin Tarantino Reveals Plans To Develop an Eight-Episode TV Series Next Year

Quentin Tarantino has officially disclosed plans of returning to TV for the first time in almost 20 years. The Oscar-winning director is looking to shoot an eight-episode series in 2023. The last time he worked in television was when he directed two episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2005.

Since his time on CSI he has often toyed with the idea of coming back. Reports confirmed the rumors back in February when the director was reportedly in talks to helm installments of FX’s Justified revival. The writer-director is keeping the details under wraps, leading to speculations on what will bring Tarantino back to TV.

Variety reported that Tarantino was previously approached to “do a dialogue polish of Samuel L. Jackson’s 2000 Shaft reboot but rejected the offer.” When asked which comic book he would like to adapt, Tarantino said he would be interested in bringing Marvel’s Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos to the big screen.

Tarantino’s next project is his new collection of essays on films, Cinema Speculation now available online.

In case you missed it, Indiana Jones 5 will focus on Nazis and the US-Soviet Union space race.
