As fans continue to reel after the untimely death of Takeoff, names from throughout the music world have taken to social media to mourn the shocking loss. Takeoff and his uncle, fellow Migos member Quavo, were playing dice at a bowling alley in downtown Houston before a dispute erupted. Takeoff was shot and pronounced dead at the scene, two other people at the dice game were also shot and taken to the hospital, Quavo was unharmed.
Drake led the group of artists, executives, and more that shared their respects and reminisced memories of Takeoff, sharing a photo from their co-headlining Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour in 2018. Sharing a caption that read, Got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That’s what I’ll focus on for now. rest easy space man.”
Other close collaborators and friends that flocked to share their condolences included Gucci Mane, Kid Cudi, Outkast, Ric Flair, and Mike Tyson. SZA, Machine Gun Kelly, and Ugly God were particularly devastated about Takeoff’s death highlighting the amazing talent that the music industry has lost.

i had the honor of being on migos first mixtape back in like 09’…crazy what they’ve done since. i was so proud of that album cho and takeoff just dropped, the bars and production were so mean, i’m just glad he got to experience SOME of his flowers while he was here. RIP Take ?

do y’all not realize these niggas changed the whole cadence of rap when they came out? rip Takeoff. this man has been staying out the way, keeping it minimal, and minding his own buisiness since the beginning. If that’s not enough to be left alone, then idk.
