 A new version of Soda Stereo’s “De Música Ligera”

One of the Soda Stereo’s most iconic songs is a getting a new version thanks to Los Rabanes, Beto Cuevas and Randy Ebright (Molotov) who have joined forces for this forthcoming collaboration. Los Rabanes shared the artwork of the single, out Aug. 28, and a teaser of the ska-tinged cover. Listen below:

Ivy Queen & Celia Cruz to unite for epic virtual duet

Ivy Queen and the late Celia Cruz will unite for an epic virtual performance that will be showcased during the Calle Ocho Live festival taking place October 4. “Celia Cruz stands out for her powerful voice, talent, stage presence and eccentricities,” said Ivy Queen. “I’m honored to sing one of her songs with Celia because she captivated me from the moment I first heard her incredible voice and she is synonymous with the highest values, sacrifices and empowerment music that gives all of us. ¡Viva Celia Cruz, the Queen!”

Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma” joins the 2 billion club

Daddy Yankee and Snow celebrated a milestone for their smash hit collaboration “Con Calma,” which surpassed two billion video views on YouTube. The global hit, a bilingual remake of Snow’s 1992 track “Informer,” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart dated May 4, 2019, where it reigned for 14 consecutive weeks.

“To transcend different cultures singing in my language and representing it has been a core mission since the beginning of my career,” the Yankee expressed on Instagram. “There is no greater satisfaction than to continue building my legacy and continue to be relevant in the music industry.”

Selena Tribute: Celebrating 25 years of music 

During Premios Juventud 2020, Greeicy, Danna Paola, Natti Natash and Ally Brooke delivered a heartfelt tribute to the Queen of Tex-Mex. Karol G presented the special performance, saying “she continues to shine each day and that’s why she’s eternal.” Then, the four artists dazzled in Selena-inspired outfits and performed a medley of “Como La Flor,” “Carcacha,” “Techno Cumbia,” “Amor Prohibido,” “Baila Esta Cumbia” and “Fotos y Recuerdos.”
