FIFA Launches “Spotlight: Your Dreams Campaign”

FIFA Launches “Spotlight: Your Dreams Campaign”

With the World Cup in Qatar just about a month away, FIFA has launched “Spotlight: Your Dreams” — a new series showcasing the work of emerging artists who have created unique pieces centered around the Jules Rimet Trophy.

FIFA will work with a panel of seven artists and social media star Noah Beck, who look to inspire the creative community to draw, paint or artistically express their dreams prior to the start of the tournament. At the heart of the campaign is the hope to spread a positive, unifying and inspiring power of the trophy, while building hype for the tournament, and drive conversation in and around the football world.

The seven artists within the panel include Lu Sedova (Argentina), Matt Adnate (Australia), Victor Mosquera (Canada), Josephine Henning (Germany), Farid Rueda (Mexico), Ashley Dreyfus (United States), Gabe Gault (United States) and Jaber Henzab (Qatar). “Every FIFA World Cup™ is about people dreaming, then fulfilling their dreams, so we’d like as many people as possible to get involved in the #FIFADreamContest. Let’s make the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ the time for dreams to really come true and highlight what the beautiful game is all about,” said Noah Black in a statement.

FIFA has outlined the following steps to enter the #FIFADreamContest:

1. Create an original piece of art that reflects your FIFA World Cup™ dream.

2. Make sure your piece includes the trophy.

3. Remember that it’s about football, art and dreams. Inappropriate or unrelated pieces will be disqualified.

4. Share your entry on Twitter and/or Instagram with #FIFADreamContest.

5. Do not include text in your image or video entry.

6. Make sure you submit your entry by 3 November 2022.

Starting on November 10, the 16 most engaging projects will be entered in a bracket-style competition, where fans around the world can vote for their favorites. The champion will be selected on November 14 and win a trip to the FIFA World Cup 2022™ in Qatar, along with further prizes up for grabs throughout the tournament.
