Takeoff and Quavo have opened up about the future of Migos with Offset, following speculation that the trio may have disbanded.
Speaking on the Big Facts podcast, the pair explained that they’re currently focused on cementing their Unc & Phew duo rather than working on other projects related to Migos like Culture 4. “I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo, you know what I’m saying, because, you know, we just came from a loyal family,” Quavo shared, adding that they’re “supposed to stick together.” He continued, “Sometimes when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”
Elsewhere during the interview, Takeoff also spoke on their familial ties with Offset and ended it with a loving note in regards to the Father of 4 rapper. “We don’t know all answers. God know. So we pray a lot,” he shared. “And we tell him, whatever — whatever ain’t right, however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it. Only time will tell. We always family now, ain’t nothing gonna change.”
Takeoff and Quavo are set to release Only Built For Infinity Links, their first album as a duo, on October 7 while Offset will drop his sophomore studio record on November 11.
Elsewhere in music, Kendrick Lamar is releasing a special 10th anniversary edition of good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
