As hinted by a leaked order guide back in May, the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro receives new Wild Cherry Design packages. Now, thanks to GM, we have more official details on what those packages include apart from sharing a name with the 1970s band behind the song “Play That Funky Music” and the only good flavor of Pepsi.
Wild Cherry Tintcoat is new to the Camaro’s exterior color palette for 2021, replacing the previous Garnet Red paint option. Those who want to get the most out of the new color can choose one of two Wild Cherry Design packages. For the Camaro LT and LZ trim levels there’s the Wild Cherry Design package 1, which includes special forged aluminum wheels in a polished finish with Camaro shield emblem center caps, black metallic hash mark stripes on the fenders, Camaro fender badges, and Camaro floor mats with silver edging. That package costs $2,145.
For Camaro 2LT, 3LT, and 2SS trim levels there is the $5,595 Wild Cherry Design package 2, which adds unique ground effects, a center stripe in black or silver, a carbon-fiber insert for the fuel door, and black suede interior trim to the first package’s equipment list—like an extra squirt of syrup in an already sweet soda. The two packages are available for both coupe and convertible models painted in the new shade of red. The only 2021 Camaros that can’t be optioned with a Wild Cherry Design package appear to be the base Camaro 1LS and the 650-hp ZL1.
