Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Halloween Ends.
The two-and-a-half-minute visual gives viewers a closer look at what to expect in the film, including the gory deaths perpetuated by Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney) and Laurie Strode’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) determination to put a stop to Michael’s madness after all these years — which includes the possibility of her dying if it kills Michael, too. Her anger towards Michael is further fuelled by the death of her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) in the predecessor Halloween Kills, which takes place four years before Halloween Ends.
Joining Courtney, Curtis and Greer in the cast are Andi Matichak, Will Patton and Kyle Richards, all of whom reprise their roles as Laurie’s granddaughter Allyson, Deputy Frank Hawkins and Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, one of the kids Laurie babysat in the original 1978 film. The film was helmed by David Gordon Green, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier. Jason Blum of Blumhouse Production produced the movie with Rough House Productions, Miramax and Trancas International Pictures.
While Halloween Ends is believed to be final film in the newly-rebooted franchise, creator John Carpenter previously stated that it may not be the last installment. “If the movie makes money, I don’t believe it’s the end. There’s a way of when a movie makes money, it seems to resurrect the next one,” he said.
