Bandit9’s Monaco Is a Tribute to Racing

Bandit9 has just unveiled its tribute to racing in the form of the Monaco monocoque electric race car. Treating the Monaco like the racing platform, the race car’s shell is entirely made from carbon fiber and will have additional add-on and performance upgrades to suit most racing needs.

Bandit9 describes the Monaco as:

Originally, Bandit9 set out to make a car that recreated the experience of riding a motorcycle. But as they lost themselves in research, they found something unexpected: religion. The more Bandit9 learned about the science and religion of Racing, the more they felt compelled to honor those that came before by continuing their work; Colin Chapman’s relentless mission to reduce weight, Carroll Shelby’s principles on control over pure power, Enzo Ferrari’s philosophy on life, and more. The Monaco is Bandit9’s interpretation of the lessons passed down by the greats, and a way of taking the torch of Racing forward.

The Monaco is powered by an AC permanent magnet motor with a 50 kWh battery. This allows for a top speed of 260 km/h with a 0-60 time of just 2.7 seconds. It also delivers 536 Hp (400 kW) and 445 lb-ft of torque (600 Nm). The zero-emission racer also has a range of 402 km. Details include magnesium alloy wheels, choice of either an aluminum or complete carbon fiber frame, a push-rod/pull-rod suspension system, carbon ceramic brakes, an LED dash display, a rear-view display, and a 360° ultrawide tactical camera.

Those interested in learning more about Bandit9’s electric Monaco racer can head over to the company’s website. The Monaco starts at $150,000 USD and ships worldwide with deliveries expected as soon as Q3 2023.
