Bang & Olufsen is expanding its range of audio products with the introduction of its new Beosound Theatre.
The device is an elevated soundbar that offers powerful sound without compromising quality. Making up the robust output are 12 speaker drivers alongside two custom-made long-stroke 6.5” woofers. With these components comes 800 watts of amplification power and up to 112dB sound pressure level. Additional design features include a custom-made center channel and a midrange-mounted tweeter which provides enhanced sound distribution and speech quality.
“Beosound Theatre completely redefines cinematic sound in the home,” said Bang & Olufsen CEO, Kristian Teär. “With its powerful sound, advanced technology platform and modular design, we bring the immersion of a multi-speaker setup into one soundbar that slots seamlessly with any screen.”
The new soundbar also comes equipped with three-dimensional sound directivity that builds upon the brand’s Beam Width and Beam Direction Control that debuted with the Beolab 90 speakers. The multifaceted sound directivity is due to a mixture of direct, side and up-firing speakers. Just like previous products, the soundbar features a clean and modular design crafted from aluminum and solid oak lamella.
Featuring fabric and wood cover options, the Beosound Theatre is priced at $6,890 USD and $7,990. Check out the gallery above for a look at the Beosound Theatre, which releases in-store and online on October 3.
