Arcade Fire’s WE tour kicks off tonight (August 30) in Dublin, Ireland, and Feist took the stage as the show’s opening act. The band’s North American and European tour is currently scheduled to continue after allegations of sexual of misconduct were made by multiple people against frontman Win Butler.
According to fans in attendance at the Dublin show tonight who shared photos on social media, there’s a sign at the merch booth noting that Feist will donate all proceeds from merchandise sales at tonight’s show to Women’s Aid Dublin, an organization dedicated to stopping domestic violence across Ireland. Pitchfork has reached out to Feist and Arcade Fire’s representative for comment.
On Saturday in a new report, four people detailed allegations of sexual misconduct against Butler. The allegations span the period between 2015 and 2020, during which time Butler was married to fellow Arcade Fire member Régine Chassagne (he is currently still married to Chassagne). In statements to Pitchfork, Butler vehemently denied any non-consensual behavior.
