Gearing up for the Fall premiere of Black Adam, the film’s lead Dwayne Johnson took to his Twitter to give fans possibly the clearest look at Pierce Brosnan‘s character, Dr. Fate.
Following the announcement of the delays of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Black Adam appears to be the only DC Comics film slated to release by the end of this year. The new poster revealed by Johnson shows a detailed look at Dr. Fate’s uniform. Dr. Fate is described as the “son of an archaeologist who was taught sorcery skills and given the magical Helmet of Fate.” Brosnan’s role as Dr. Fate is his first foray into the world of superheroes.
Accompanying his Tweet is the caption, “Fate does not make mistakes.” Dr. Fate is considered one of DC’s oldest characters and even pre-dates the adventures of the Justice League by two decades. His feature in Black Adam will mark the Dr. Fate’s big screen debut.
Black Adam premieres in theaters on October 21.
