Like it or not, mini skirts are a trend this season. While Miu Miu’s belt-style micro iterations can be slightly (read: completely) terrifying for us mere mortals, they can actually be more wearable than the catwalk leads us all to believe. As a midi skirt fan, I’m surprised by how swayed I’ve been by the revival of the mini, and I haven’t stopped wearing them all summer. For me, though, I find it easier to wear with a baggier top half: a shirt, a fine knit if it’s cooler or an oversized blazer. When it comes to fit, I always size up with mini skirts to make sure they’re not super tight, or rise up too high (but of course this is down to preference.)
