Only a few weeks ago, K-pop boy band BTS announced that they would be going on a hiatus to pursue solo projects. The news arrived only a few days after the release of their new group compilation album Proof.
“I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again,” group member J-Hope said during the group’s announcement. “I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing, and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.”
On Monday, J-Hope followed up with the news of his forthcoming debut album. The singer took to Big Hit Entertainment’s Weverse to share the news that his Jack In The Box LP will be dropping on July 15. Fans will be able to hear the first single from the project this Friday, July 1. Jack In The Box will enable J-Hope to “break the mold and grow further,” according to the announcement.
J-Hope’s debut solo album Jack In The Box is out on streaming services on July 15.
