Shortly after releasing a world reveal trailer yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward have now followed up with a more detailed look at one of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II‘s new campaign missions. Titled “Dark Water,” the brand new mission takes place on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico where secret cargo has been stored with the potential to “spark a global conflict.” Learning of this intel, the franchise’s central Task Force 141 sets off to find and retrieve the missiles, dispatching Soap, Ghost, and Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas alongside Shadow Company to take down enemies on the ship.
“This is just one example of how Campaign missions will be more dynamic and lifelike, something that the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare began to innovate on compared to previous games,” Activision said about the new trailer. “Not only will players have to contend with enemy forces, but they may also have to deal with the elements, such as going underwater to stealth around enemy territory.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is scheduled to arrive October 28.
