Leading gaming accessories brand Corsair has revealed its first-ever gaming laptop dubbed the Voyager AMD Advantage Edition. Powering the 16-inch laptop is either a Ryzen 7 6800HS or Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and a Radeon RX 6800M GPU paired with up to 64GB GB of DDR RAM and a 2TB SSD. While boasting the latest wireless connectivity options, Wifi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, the laptop keeps its standard 3.5mm combo audio jack alongside its USB ports and card reader.
The gaming laptop boasts several design differences from its competitors, most noticeably incorporating a 10-key LCD touch bar above the keyboard powered by Elgato Stream Deck software. Instead of replacing the function keys as done on the new Macbook Pros, the Corsair laptop places the macro bar below the hinges in a way where it’s still visible when closed. Other details include a 1080p webcam equipped with a privacy shade, Dolby Atmos speakers, four noise-canceling microphones, and Cherry MX low-profile mechanical switches.
“We knew we had to bring something new and different to the table,” said Matthew Hsu, SVP & GM, System BU at CORSAIR. “With our unique position in the industry, we were able to pull from the best of what CORSAIR has to offer – from award-winning components to extensive software integration – to create a laptop that no one else can.”
Corsair’s Voyager AMD Advantage Edition is set to release for $2,700 and $3,000 USD respectively. Head over to the Corsair website for a full rundown of the upcoming offering and stay tuned for a release date to be announced in the coming weeks.
