With its imminent release this summer, Nissan has finally revealed the pricing for its 2023 Nissan Z for the U.S. market. The latest iteration of the iconic sports car will be available in three trims this time round. The base Sport model will begin at $41,015 USD and both the manual and automatic versions will be priced the same. Since it’s the lowest tier of the three, you’ll only be able to choose what exterior paint finish and interior color you’d like, but Nissan will also let you purchase accessories for the car separately.
In the middle tier is the Performance trim, which is now the main upgrade option for those looking for something even sportier. At a starting price of $51,015 USD, the bumped-up package will include a whole series of performance enhancements, including a mechanical limited-slip differential, larger brakes with painted calipers, Rays 19-inch forged wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, launch control, a rev-matching system for the manual version, front and rear spoilers, and aluminum sport pedals. The car will also come with heated side mirrors, heated seats, a leather-upholstered steering wheel, a larger 9-inch infotainment system display, in-car WiFi, and a Bose audio system featuring eight speakers.
Finally, a lucky few will have access to the 2023 Nissan Z’s Proto trim, which is only made in extremely limited numbers. If you’re one of the only 240 that’s been able to get hold of this, you’ll be receiving features such as bronze-painted 19-inch Rays forged wheels, an exclusive shift knob, and a whole series of yellow accents across the brake calipers and interior upholstery, all on top of the upgrades you’ll already get in the Performance trim. The pricing for this tier comes in at $54,015 USD.
As to how the 2023 Nissan Z prices compare to its closest competitor, the current Toyota GR Supra 3.0 starts at $52,915 USD, meaning the base Sport model from Nissan is more than $10,000 USD cheaper. Even the upgraded Performance trim is slightly cheaper than Toyota’s offering, which most notably won’t be available in manual transmission until the release of its 2023 model. Of course, pricing has yet to be announced for that, so automotive enthusiasts might want to wait just a little longer for a more comprehensive comparison.
