Black Mirror will return to Netflix for a sixth season, Variety and Deadline report. The dystopian sci-fi series will likely follow a similar format to Season 5, which had three episodes, each running at just over an hour. Creators Charlie Booker and Annabel Jones are bringing the series back to Netflix, despite leaving the production company that owns the Black Mirror rights; their new company, Broke & Bones, eventually reached a deal with rightsholder Banijay to license the show to Netflix, Variety reports.
The fifth season featured Miley Cyrus covering Nine Inch Nails in her role as a pop star. In late December 2018, Netflix released an interactive Black Mirror film called Bandersnatch, which allowed viewers to select various permutations by choosing a path at key moments, like a choose-your-own-adventure game book.
