Kendrick Lamar‘s newest record, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, is looking to make Billboard 200 history when its debuts on next week’s chart.
According to HITS Daily Double, the highly-awaited album is looking to open at No. 1, earning around 325,000 to 350,000 units in its first week. In addition, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is forecasted to garner almost 400 million streams in the United States in this first week after it earned over 90 million Spotify streams on its first day.
Projections released in the weeks leading up to the album initially stated a 350,000 units opening week, and was increased to up to 400,000 units.
Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers broke Apple Music’s worldwide record for the highest first-day streams for an album released in 2022, as well previously occupied the top 14 spots on the Apple Music Songs Chart. The service, however, did not reveal the exact numbers.
