Lil Yachty and yvngxchris Take Over an LA House Party in New “DAMN HOMIE” Video

Lil Yachty and yvngxchris Take Over an LA House Party in New “DAMN HOMIE” Video

17-year-old rapper yvngxchris has tapped Lil Yachty for a new cut, “DAMN HOMIE,” along with a party-packed music video, directed by Elan Bia under his creative imprint No Soap.

The visual sees Yachty, who dons the Bode sunset crochet top, and yungxchris, who opts for a clean ensemble with statement-making leather pants, hop out of a Cadillac Escalade and enter an elusive house party in Los Angeles. Inside, yvngxchris instantly sprays a girl with a water gun, while onlookers dance to the opening bars of his first verse and Yachty posts up at the DJ booth.

Captivating the venue’s attention, yvngxchris raps, “Now I’m rockin’ the Belacartes with the Rick / Yeah, my money be flippin’, twerkin’, do a split.” Lil Boat then takes the mic for the third verse: “Do it myself, no assist (On God) / Walk in that b*tch with a limp, told that b*tch, ‘I don’t kiss.’”

Meanwhile, Tana Mongeau makes a cameo from one of the bedrooms and partygoers jump into a pool fully-clothed, all of which is interpolated with nostalgic edits before two security guards usher viewers out of the party.

“Being able to direct this video was kind of a dream come true, it’s like a crossover episode between the first and second generation of Soundcloud with two of my favorite rappers,” Bia told HYPEBEAST. “All the production elements were designed to be campy classic tropes and amusing references so we could capture the playfulness of the song and both rapper’s individual dynamics with the environment.”
