The Dwayne Johnson-voiced animated dog Krypto is loving life in a new trailer for the upcoming film DC League of Super-Pets, but his owner Clark Kent/Superman (John Krasinski), has other plans for the night, such as going on a date with a woman named Lois. Krypto, who has superpowers similar to those of his owner, promptly retaliates by jettisoning Lois into the ocean.
“My dog’s the best,” Superman says. “But he’s not the greatest with other animals.”
When the Justice League is kidnapped by a tiny guinea pig, Lulu (Kate McKinnon), Krypto has to learn to get along with a gang of shelter pets with superpowers in order to save their owners.
Among the group is a hound named Ace (Kevin Hart), a pig named PB (Vanessa Bayer), a turtle named Merton (Natasha Lyonne) and a squirrel named Chip (Diego Luna). In addition, Keanu Reeves voices Bruce Wayne/Batman and Marc Maron voices Superman’s archnemesis, Lex Luthor.
Watch the new trailer for the Warner Bros. film DC League of Super-Pets now. The movie comes to theaters this summer on July 29.
