A Rare 1991 GMC Syclone Is Up for Auction

A 1991 GMC Syclone, a high-performance counterpart of the GMC Sonoma pickup truck, has hit the auction block. One of less than 3,000 reported examples for the model year, the classic truck is powered by a turbocharged 4.3-liter V6 rated at 280 horsepower when new, as well as a four-speed automatic transmission.

Finished in black velour upholstery, the Syclone includes red badging, integrated front fog lights and a tonneau cover. In terms of equipment, the vehicle includes all-wheel drive, alloy wheels, a limited-slip rear differential, and front disc brakes. Making the driver’s experience even more comfortable are bucket seats, cruise control, air conditioning and a factory cassette stereo.

At the driver’s seat is a two-spoke steering wheel with instrumentation, including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer and supplementary gauges. The truck, which is located in Florida, currently only has 28,000 miles on it.

Those interested in the GMC Syclone can check it out on the Bring a Trailer website, where the latest bid for the vehicle sits at $17,995 USD.

In other automotive news, Chevrolet is taking the Corvette electric.
