A leather Wilson football, featuring signatures from Super Bowl LVI halftime show performers Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Anderson .Paak and Mary J. Blige, is headed to auction.
The collectible, which will be part of Heritage Auction’s sale from May 12 to May 14, is listed at a current bid of $2,600 USD. Notably, the football is missing signatures from Snoop Dogg and surprise guest 50 Cent, both of whom also took part in the 15-minute halftime show performance.
“In what many referred to as ‘the best Super Bowl halftime show’ of all time, the 2022 Super Bowl LVI show celebrated hip-hop, its pioneers and current stars, and of course, the music of Los Angeles,” reads the signed ball’s official description.
“This leather Wilson ball is signed by Dre, Em, Mary J, Anderson .Paak and Kendrick in bold black ink. The autographs were acquired by our consignor at the Big Game and [the football] is one of the finest collectibles we’ve seen from the legendary show.”
The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show, which was produced by JAY-Z, saw Dre and Snoop perform “The Next Episode” from atop a massive, white house structure in the center of the stadium and 50 Cent rap a surprise rendition of his 2003 hit “In Da Club.” Mary J. Blige also took the stage with “Family Affair” and “No More Drama,” before Lamar hopped on for “Alright” and Eminem performed “Lose Yourself” with Paak on the drums.
