The 2022 EE BAFTA Film Awards celebrate the best of British and international cinema. Hosted this year by Rebel Wilson, the show is sure to be filled with comedic genius, heartfelt acceptance speeches, and incredible red carpet fashion moments.
There are quite a few fashionable films up for nominations. The cast of “House of Gucci”, particularly Lady Gaga, is sure to bring drama to the red carpet with dynamic outfits. We’re also keen on seeing what a few rising stars bring to the red carpet, particularly “Bridgerton“‘s Simone Ashley and EE rising star award nominees Millicent Simmonds, Lashana Lynch, and Morfydd Clark. Nominated for best costume design, “Dune” is a major contender for big wins of the evening. If the cast are in attendance, then we expect some Arrakis-inspired looks.
Opening the red carpet was Clara Amfo in a rose-gold strapless lamé midi dress and Bimini Bon Boulash wearing an eclectic white lace dress with blue, full-length gloves. We also noticed a few standout trends like yellow gowns worn by “Saint Maude” star and EE rising star nominee Morfydd Clark and screenwriter and director Charlotte Carroll. Our favourite trend of the evening? The cut-out details on the gowns worn by “Belfast” star Caitriona Balfe and emerging actor Shalom Brune-Franklin. Fancy a look at the best dressed stars and red carpet fashion trends from the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards? Keep reading ahead.
