Last July, TikTok made it possible for users to post videos up to three minutes long. Now, the platform is expanding even longer content, introducing 10-minute videos.
Matt Navarra, a social media analyst, reported that he received a notification saying he could upload longer videos. The platform said that in order to access the new feature, he should be using the latest version of the app or web browser.

“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” a TikTok spokesperson told The Verge. “Last year, we introduced longer videos, giving our community more time to create and be entertained on TikTok.
“Today, we’re excited to start rolling out the ability to upload videos that are up to 10 minutes, which we hope would unleash even more creative possibilities for our creators around the world,” they continued.
The addition of 10-minute videos will likely present creators with new opportunities to monetize content and work in ads. The feature is expected to roll out globally.
